The Oasis Personal Prayer Ministry Appointment Requests

We count it a privilege to minister the love of Christ to hurting individuals through healing prayer.

What is Personal Prayer Ministry?

Personal Prayer Ministry is a blended Christian ministry for individuals of all backgrounds who are seeking focused spiritual help to overcome life’s hurts, in a gentle, compassionate manner.

• It is personal: it is ministry to a hurting individual in a personal, caring manner
• It is prayer: it is focused prayer through which the living Christ touches deep hurts
• It is ministry: it is serving another individual in the spirit and love of Christ

Personal Prayer Ministry includes discussion and healing prayer into the foundational areas of one’s life:
• generational/family of origin issues
• core beliefs
• emotional wounding/addictive patterns
• release from oppression

Personal Prayer Ministry employs focused questions and “listening prayer”:
• to unveil disempowering negative core beliefs
• resulting “structures” and life patterns,
• replacing ungodly core beliefs with empowering truths revealed by God

Personal Prayer Ministry is similar to what has been called “Pastoral Care Prayer Healing” or “Prayer Counseling.” We employ a blended approach, drawing on healing prayer principles gleaned from the work and experience of many noted Christian leaders in this field. It is wonderful to see lives transformed by the living Christ!

What is the procedure to make an appointment?

  • We first ask that individuals call the church to set up an appointment.  We try to respond to inquiries as soon as possible — from the same day to one week at the latest.
  • A waiver form may be required.
  • Sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, at 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Eastern time.
  • Depending on how fully we are booked, there can be a wait of several days to perhaps three weeks for an appointment, unless there are cancellations.
  • Appointments are made on a first come, first served basis; a standard appointment is 2 hours long.
  • We normally recommend that up to 5 bi-weekly sessions be set up, to maintain continuity. If these appointments are not needed, they can be cancelled. We generally recommend sessions every two weeks, as we often give assignments to be completed between sessions.
  • At least 24 hours notice is required for cancellation of appointments. Not giving sufficient notice will incur a one month delay until the next appointment.

Questions?

If you have any questions, you may contact the Intake Secretary via email by clicking here.

Please note:

Personal Prayer Ministry does not function as a “crisis hotline,” but rather as a specialized extension of pastoral care.

The love of God can touch and transform anyone, anywhere, at any time. However, prayer ministry is not intended to circumvent appropriate medical treatment, but rather to complement it, by addressing foundational spiritual issues, which can help bring wholeness to the physical, emotional and mental aspects of our lives.

While we desire to minister the love of God to those in need, if you suffer from a serious mental health disorder such as schizophrenia, bi-polar manic-depression, or PTSD, these disorders require suitable mental health treatment. We do not provide assessment, diagnosis or psychiatric treatment. Any medication questions need to be addressed by your family doctor or psychiatrist.

We are not able to respond to emergency crises such as child protection, trauma, domestic violence or sexual assault. Please contact your local authorities or crisis hotline. In situations where trauma has occurred, crisis intervention and assessment by a local mental health professional is strongly advised. Subsequent prayer ministry can be very beneficial in facilitating your journey of healing.

Our Friday evening service is a revival service with a regional focus. Starting at 7pm, concluding at approximately 10pm. It is an evening for impartation, teaching, and prayer for healing of the sick.

You are welcome to stay as long or as short a time as you are able. If you are coming for prayer and have to leave early, please inform our pastoral staff or ministry team so you can receive prayer. We do not want anyone to miss out!
