This summer we have two positions available, Children and Youth Outreach Assistant and Canadian Christian Heritage Assistant Coordinator. We are looking for students in Post Secondaryreturning to full-time studies in September, and between the ages of 15-30 (Age requirement for Canada Summer Jobs Funding).

Children and Youth Outreach Assistant

In this position, you are assisting and leading, preparing programs for inside the church and the communities, support existing programs for children, promotion of all initiatives through social media and community connections, additional administrative responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • Experienced with children and youth
  • Age requirement for Canada Summer Jobs Funding (18-20 years of age)
  • Good understanding of computer programs: MS Office, presentation software, social media tools
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communications skills, leadership skills – with adults and children
  • Good organization skills; ability to meet deadlines, prioritize with limited guidance
  • Self starter with an innovative approach to connecting with community
  • Sensitivity to needs both emotional and spiritual, acknowledges and practices Christian faith
  • Must be willing to commute to location (The Oasis)

Canadian Christian Heritage Assistant Coordinator

In this position, you are in the media department – supporting of Canada’s 150 nationwide initiative, Canada ON Track, social media linking to initiative with location, assist with promotion and planning for Canada ONTRACK initiative for Ottawa region, developing and implementing media support strategy, and assist with Administration, receiving calls, calendar updates, scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of computer programs: MS Office, presentation software, social media tools
  • Experience with editing program: Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communications skills, leadership skills
  • Good organization skills; ability to meet deadlines, prioritize with limited guidance
  • Self starter with an innovative approach to media and communications
  • Sensitivity to needs both emotional and spiritual, acknowledges and practices Christian faith
  • Must be willing to commute to location (The Oasis)

 

The LATEST starting date would be June 19 to Aug 06, 2017, up to 30 hours/week (varied hours, including Sundays) and $12/hour.
